Flocked papers have a rich history. They were once a luxury product reserved only for the wealthy, especially during the 1700’s. Today’s manufacturing methods make flocked papers available to all people. The patterns vary from traditional floral patterns to modern geometrics. Flocked papers from India are cotton papers flocked using an electrostatic method. Some papers are silkscreened with a pattern before flocking.
